The Missing Metrology Link Advanced multiaxial elastomer test systems were originally designed to conduct durability testing in six degrees of freedom. These legacy frames were architected with a physical mounting block intended for a 6-DOF force transducer at the specimen adapter. However, the OEM never manufactured the specialized load cell required to fill this space.

Without a direct-measurement multiaxial sensor, facilities executing complex Cartesian coordinate control are forced to rely on indirect actuator force feedback. This methodology introduces severe cross-coupling errors and mechanical binding friction into the data stream, completely masking the true localized compliance of the bushing.

SE-6DOF-BSH Architecture: The Drop-In Solution

The SE-6DOF-BSH is a massive, monolithic multi-axis load cell designed to perfectly replace the OEM blanking block. It instantly transforms the test frame into a high-fidelity force measurement system.

  • High-Sensitivity Torsional Axis (Mx): Suspension bushings undergo severe rotational displacements, with typical test profiles commanding θx rotations up to 15°. To capture this extremely fine rotational compliance, the SE-6DOF-BSH features a highly sensitized Mx measurement bridge with a dedicated 2 kNm full scale.

  • Massive Multi-Axis Rigidity: While isolating the highly sensitive Mx torsion, the monolithic structure simultaneously supports and uncouples massive dynamic loads, including 50 kN Fz / Fy sheer forces and massive 12 kNm My / Mz overturning moments.

  • Inertial Error Reduction: Engineered to complement the machine's native acceleration compensation algorithms , the transducer's ultra-stiff structural topology and lightweight mass reduce inertial errors in the force measurement during dynamic, high-frequency durability testing.
