High-Stiffness 6-DOF Internal Balance
Ultra-Stable 8-Bridge Balance for 60% Scale Aerodynamic Testing
The SE-6800 Series is a low-profile, high-capacity internal balance engineered to serve as the primary structural interface between the vehicle chassis and the overhead constraint system. While legacy sensors often struggle with the extreme thermal gradients of a modern wind tunnel cockpit, the SE-6800 is designed from the ground up for thermal rejection and long-run zero stability.
The Thermal Advantage: Precision in High-Gradient Environments
In the F1 world, data drift is lost time. The SE-6800 solves the thermal instability issues that have caused the industry to move away from legacy sensors.
Isothermal Monolithic Flexure: Machined from a single block of aerospace-grade Maraging Steel, the SE-6800 ensures uniform heat distribution. This allows thermal expansion to occur symmetrically, where it is natively cancelled by the bridge geometry.
8-Bridge Over-Determined Matrix: By utilizing 8 bridges to solve for 6 Degrees of Freedom (6-DOF), we use the two "redundant" data streams to mathematically isolate and reject thermal noise.
Transducer-Class STC Matching: We utilize foil gauges with Self-Temperature Compensation (STC) curves specifically characterized for our proprietary substrate, resulting in a zero-point stability of <0.05% FS per 10°C.
True 6-Wire Sensing: Every bridge includes active sense lines to negate lead-wire resistance shifts caused by heat soak—a critical failure point in legacy 4-wire systems.
System Integration
Form Factor: Rectangular "Cockpit-Box" footprint designed for 60% scale model integration.
Connector: High-density 55-pin AS-Series (Autosport) or MIL-DTL-38999 Series III.
Calibration: Every SE-6800 is delivered with a serialized $6 \times 8$ Sensitivity Matrix and a comprehensive Stiffness Matrix report.
